According to this article in Therapeutics Daily, this Swedish company has patents and now has FDA approval for a new drug that may be better than those on the market.

I saw an article in the January 9th edition of Bloomburg Businessweek titled:  "Keeping the Sea Safe from Plastic"  This company Metabolix is a joint venture with Archer Daniels Midland and it produces Polyhydroxyalkanoate plastic (PHA)

I've heard of Guar Gum for years as ingredients in a lot of the foods we buy. I never knew what it was, and never would have dreamed it would be used in oil fracking. This article in WSJ talks about the shortage now of Guar. It seems like very useful stuff! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guar_gum --and most of it is grown in India.

There has got to be some good opportunities for investment right now -- other than commodities. But where are they?
